Educational Approach
We provide a challenging and rigourous curriculum, which also includes visual and performing arts, foreign languages, and state of the art technology courses. Our teachers are dedicated, and well trained, helping to create a vibrant school community where each student’s contribution is valued.
Our curriculum is tailored to the devolopmental stage of each grade and subjects are integrated so that students can fully understand their relevance to the real world.
For grades K-5, the focus is on providing strong foundations in literacy, math, and reasoning. By the time they leave third grade, our students are competent and confident and ready for the more independent learning that takes place in our 6-8 program.
Students in grades 6-8 learn by exploring and integrating ideas. In these years, our instructional techniques expand beyond the walls of the classroom, including innovative use of technology to allow students to meet and work with peers from sister schools around the country. Our students master not only the core academic competencies, but also the life skills that will carry them through high school, college, and into the workforce.
