Which grades do you offer?
For the 2010 school year, we are pleased to offer grades Prek through 10th. Space is limited, so don’t hesitate, submit your application today!

What are the school hours?
Monday through Friday

Who are your teachers?
We are fortunate to welcome the following teachers to our educational staff:
Laura Zeledon – With over 18 years of experience as a Bilingual Preschool teacher, Laura brings a warmth to her classroom and a smile to her student’s faces.

Rebecca Briones – As a licensed Special Education teacher, Rebecca provides a different perspective and experience working with a variety of students. Rebecca works throughout the Preschool and Kinder program.

Laura Castro Quiros – Laura graduated from Universidad Latina with a degree in Bilingual Preschool Education and has taught 6 years at private schools in San Jose. Laura brings energy and creativity to a classroom and is a wonderful addition to our Primary program.

Katy Hayslett – With a Master of Education degree from the University
of North Carolina and 6 years of experience teaching, Katy’s experience and enthusiasm are a great addition to our primary school program.

Ryan McCaughan – With a degree in Education from the states, Ryan’s focus has been in primary education and brings a fresh outlook to the 4th/5th grade class.

MaEugenia Viquez – With a degree in Primary education and an emphasis in Estudios Sociales, MaEugenia works throughout the primary program teaching Estudios Sociales & Spanish.

Jose Mora Salas – with a degree in Education and an emphasis in Physical Education, Jose works throughout the school implementing the Physical Education curriculum.

Melissa Araya – with a degree in Education and a specialty in teaching Spanish, Melissa teaches our Spanish Program to our secondary students.

Jenn Grubs – With over 12 years of International teaching experience, Jenn has put together our Estudios Sociales program for Secondary Students.

Sharon Alexander – Originally from Novia Scotia, Sharon comes to us from Canada with a degree in Education and a focus in Environmental Science. Sharon works with the secondary students in both maths and sciences.

Michael Charles – With over 40 years of educational experience, Michael brings depth to our Secondary Humanities program.

Teachers are selected based on demonstrated expertise in the subject matter/grade level of the students. Professional development is part of the faculty’s ongoing relationship with the school. We have already built up a bank of applicants who are interested in teaching in the school and are receiving more applications daily.

What are your building/expansion plans?
The farm is over 72 hectares with plenty of room for expansion as Lakeside grows.
